Sinusitis (sinus infection) can be a result of a cold or allergies, and in the case of chronic sinusitis, can last up to two months.
Symptoms are often cold-like and includes headache, nasal congestion (or a runny nose), post-nasal drip, and facial pain (around the sinuses) due to inflammation.
Sinus infections often resolve naturally, but may require antibiotics. The discomfort affects sleep and the headaches affect mental clarity.
LED light therapy, ultrasound and dry needling are all great treatments to drain mucus, which can safely be used in conjunction or completely avoiding medication, and are safe alternatives for pregnant women and children.
